[REL] Azriel the Merchant V.2 [sheaths, wings and swords]

Tribunal and Azriel the Merchant V.1 required.
This mod adds: sheaths, new weapons (some can be strapped to back), 2 defensive weapons, new look for Azriel.
*Important Notes*
Equipping a belt will open a dialogue option for what you'd like to do. You must have the sheath, belt and weapon.
For back straps you only need the weapon and the belt.
If you do not have everything the script will quit, no errors.
*Even more important notes*
I admit that I myself am not a samurai, and I highly doubt anyone on these forums is either. I chose the direction of the sheaths based on my own preference, not ancient traditions. Please dont complain on this thread about the issue. Use the mod or don't.

Thanks a lot.
I forgot to mention a problem issue. Its not possible to use the wings and sheath. To fix this, the sheaths must be physiqued to the bodypart, then set to replace the pauldron i believe, but i'm not sure.

This looks awsome....................but i wonder what mesh the sheaths use..
is it a belt or sumthing......cuz i dont wanna sacrafice a pouldron like quivers do.......

I love your work I use all your mods. this is an awsome addition to the game. My only complaint is once you've sheathed and item you have remove the belt then re-equipt the weapn and belt. Can be a little annoying in the heat of battle and you can't draw your weapon.

I tried to take that into acount. The sheaths do use the pauldron spot, but if you use the left pauldron spot and set it to place a pualdron on both sides, it has the same effect. I included a few pauldrons (with x2 weight, AR etc) but you can do it with any you like easily.

Its been quite a while since i've "played" morrowind but I understand what you mean. The problem was this was my first script attempt, although i tried to modify KTX's I just couldn't get it to work. I couldn't even get my script to work (for ex. there's no "do nothing" option and you cannot draw a single sword from the double sheath). I got it to a level I was satisified with and figured it was time for a release.
If anyone would like to try some advanced scripting, I've included the meshes for the 1 sword equipped in the double sheath. I just couldn't get it working

Great mod. Awesome wings. I switch back and forth between yours and Carnithus'.

My TESPCD did show some GMST's however. Those who plan on using it should clean the esp before saving.

ok, very happy this is released as the new demon wings rock ..

only quibble. in your esm it moves the mages guild in balmora. makes the building turn... obviosly not on purpose... but just thought i'd mention it....

Woops, I did move the mage guild. It should be simple to fix for anyone who knows how to use the CS. I'll get started on getting those problems fixed and uploading a new version.

I have the Double Katana Sheath, but theres no katanas in them when I have katanas equipped. It being normal or Dragon Katanas.

The esp should over write the version 1, only 1 azriel esp should be enabled.

That requires a script constantly checking your inventory both for if you have the katana and if its equipped. Using a belt for dialogue options is much simpler. I would need to have many of these scripts constantly running (1 for each weapon) and I think it would kill the frame rate. For ex, KTX uses 1 global script, i would need over 10.

b/c i like them better than the old katanas and they match the sheath textures.

i can only get thes to work "dagger sheath belt", "demonic blade strap" and "resonance blade strap", the others menus come up and i click on one option and it does nothing, why?

Nope, right now the only package you need is the one that says (Final)

Its because you don't have everything you need. You need the dragon katanas not the regular ones and the sheath w/ belt. Only the offensive versions can go in the single sheath.
Oh and about the wings script, I can't take credit for that. Apparently it was Skullhunter who found it from Carnithus' wings. So i must give all credit to him.

I downloaded the Add-on that had "final" on it but, the mages guild in balmora was crooked like it had been rotated, and I fixed it myself. If you release another patch could you fix that and perheps make the hair/face combo of Azriel playable. I know in my fix if I remeber it was either the face or the hair it was one of them was not playable so I also unlocked that also. Other than those minor bugs this is a great mod, rivaling anyother merchant mods I had previously downloaded, exellent work and keep it up.

every time i try to edit the file to change the mages guild to its originale state, i save and load the plug-in and nothings changed! i'd hate to delete this mod because it rulez!

hmm... perhaps if you manually rotated it in-game (as long as it's fixed in the file). open the console, select the mages guild and you'll see the name ex_hlaalu_b_11 in the title bar of the console, where it replaces the word console. then type:

setangle z 90

that should rotate it in-game. well, hit enter after typing it, of course.

also, to andyguy, great mod (though i had to take off my golden pauldrons ). it really livens things up, walking around, looking all bad-ass with your sheathes.

i've got to wonder, though, why you don't make the scripts automatically detect if you've got you're weapon sheathed or bared (via the current sheath), and then either equip or unequip it automatically, instead of using the dialog box. it'd make the transition much smoother, don't you think?

you need to buy the 'single katana sheath belt' or the 'double katana sheath belt'. when you equip/unequip that, it will put away your katanas into your belt.

I have a belt and a doubble Katana Sheath... But when i have the sheath on I can't use the belt... And when i use the Sheath, and i but the sword then it won't go into the sheath

OK i'll try to get to everything. Firstly thanks for any complements. Secondly this problem with the mage guild is quite annoying but its finally been fixed and I'll upload a patch soon.

none, i made it.
Listening shadow u seem to be having lots of problems. I'm not an expert scripter so i don't have much of an idea why u have them, but the functions seemed to work ok during my beta testing so i can only assume you're doing something differently.

Remove the dress and you'll find out...
Seriously though, it's most likely some sort of armor, shirt, or other clothing accessory that's adding a neck piece to your ensemble. The dress makes your chest comply to its standards, but it doesn't do anything to your neck, so a shirt or armor with a neck will just show up like a big collar. By removing the dress, you get the full picture as to what is causing the neck-discrepancy.

I have a new version thats been cleaned and fixed. The sheaths use the neck spot so a black neck goes with most cuirass. I found that the neck was probably the best part to replace since it isn't used for too much and replacing other parts would ruin the clothing. If you want to change it, learn how to retexture and change the mesh to look for a different neck texture. All Azriel files have been removed from euro-morrowind (i'd asked for only the addons, but must not have been clear enough).
If anyone has Azriel the merchant V.1 please e-mail it to andyguy2000@hotmail.com so i can reupload it. I no longer have the old .esp.
Lastly, I guess I'll try and finish up the Guyver mod during the summer. Maybe I'll add a few more things into the Azriel file since people will need to redownload the whole thing.

Ok so i click download, it goes to euro morrowind, i click "download this file" and it brings me to this list of 10000 different morrowind mods... uhm... thats not supposed to happen right?..

Very nic! I will not be using your katana unfortunately (as they were my most anticpated item of this pack) due to the incorrect, upside-down sheathing of these blades. Just looks too wrong for me to use. Everything else, however, looks wonderful. Either way, your modeling skills should not be questioned

The problem of sheathing double katanas:

I had the same problem and figured what it was, when you first buy a dragon katana, you get a dragon katana, then you buy a defensive dragon katana it actually gives you a defensive dragon dagger. Even after purchased when I put the cursor over it, it said Defensive Dragon Katana but the icon and equipped graphic was that of the dagger.

I threw it on the ground and bought another defensive dragon katana and this time it gave me the correct one and then you equip the double sheathe, equip both katanas throw your belt on click sheath and it does it.

yea its not a problem but I would imagine thats why everyone is having trouble sheathing the double katanas, kick ass mod though, im just carrying around the double sheathed daggers on my back just for looks

Great mod, very well done and innovative! Its obvious theres quite an ammount of work behind it.

I couldn't help but taking a bit further to suit my needs. I use a dragon race, with a set of animated wings attached to the Neck channel. However, equipping the sheaths would remove them. I simply assingned the sheaths to the right Pauldron channel. It works quite well, appart for the fact that it move around when you swing a weapon.. but who wants to fight in third person anyways? This had for effect removing the upper portion of the right pauldron, but it makes the armor look asymmetric, and I like that.

I also took the liberty to changing the defence Katana to a full size one, so both weapons match.

(This character as over 10 mods mixed togheter). Those Katanas and Sheaths makes my level 81 Char make even more Bad-ass! Great work again!

I'm using the mog mod with this and eerything is great except for 1 thing. The mog's wings disappear when I equip the sheaths. The dual dragon katana sheath would be awesome if it didn't get rid of the mog's wings. Is there a way to fix this?

lilkiller: your problem is b/c the sheaths replace the neck piece. You should see how it turns black? At the moment there is no way to fix it, but now that I know how to physique, I may redo the sheaths for V. 3 of the mod.

For two. MW Summit is down for some reason.. Says "Page Cannot Be Displayed"

For three. When I click the link it takes me to euro-whatever.. There is no description and 1 link. The link takes me to this directory or something and it seems like the whole list of mods to euro-morrowind (is that right? euro-MW?)
